finally bought the steering wheel , needed to check driving position

i have moved steering position as it was rubbish also redesigned and moved pedals

as you can see pedals are to left of column , so have loads of room for throttle as i had no room before

had to change angle of column so feet didnt hit on it whilst getting to brake

sorted this has been a major hurdle , but im now happy with driving position , you have no idea how long this has taken.Thanks to my friends Mike & Andy

finally got engine parts

a great guy in the USA - SMC Performance parts helped put this lot together ls1 , ls6 & ls7 parts

with the best of everything should make an extra 100 bhp so looking close to 450 bhp

engine stripped & painted

all re honed , new cam bearings, main shells (race spec) cam and crank fitted and torqued

paint was a nightmare as it was like painting on egg yoke, that will teach me to use halfords rubish, the spray i bought from them was pink , another day in my hell!!!!

other door fitted

lots of work to do now on shut lines & window to do. down side , i forgot how i did other side ;(

doors in up position , 1 with window has new strut attached and working well

looking good

made a start fiberglassed over cardboard & foam to make shape for window

duck tap stops fiberglass from sticking to body

got bored doing body so ground in valves and fitted double valve springs , another job done

pistons all cleaned and rings fitted

next pics will add filler and make it all smooth and fitted , realised i shouldnt have atthached outerskin yet as havent made window posts yet , but need to cut doodr to make fit better
