Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the whole process take?
Your order will be completed 14 days from receipt of the impression back
into the studio! You will receive a phone call /e-mail to let you know the order
is ready. Then if you are an internet order the product will be sent out
to you by ‘signed for’ delivery. Individual collection or delivery
requirements will have been discussed with local customers / party hosts
at the time the impression was taken.
If you have a tight deadline to meet
do discuss this with me as I can often help.
What's the best way to get a good fingerprint impression? If you are an internet customer you will be sent an impression kit to
take your baby/child’s print. The impression kit contains simple
instructions on to how to achieve the best fingerprint impression from
your baby/child. If your baby/child is particularly young or fidgety the
kit enables you to take the impression whilst they are sleeping! Once
completed you post the impression back to me in the pre-paid envelope
provided. I will always acknowledge receipt of the impression by e-mail. Local or group party customers
who see me personally will have had the prints taken
quickly and easily by myself directly into the clay.
Do you
make special requests? Yes! Please give me a call to discuss any ideas you might have and I will
do my best to accommodate your request.
What is pure solid silver? The fingerprint jewellery you receive from me is 99.9% pure solid
silver! (As a comparison sterling silver is 92.5% pure with the
remainder made up with other trace metals). The
chains and cufflinks and tie slides provided with the fingerprint jewellery are
sterling silver.
How old does my baby need to be? There is no minimum age ! All babies are born with fingerprints however
the ridges become more prominent over time, so before 6 months you may
have a lovely unique finger ‘dimple’ in the jewellery rather than a
clear visible whorl. Every baby is different and I have had some nice
prints from several 8 week olds.
Adult fingerprint jewellery also makes a lovely
gift! |
